For our inaugural participation at TEFAF Showcase we presented a duo show on James Ensor and Léon Spilliaert, the two Ostend masters. The absolute highlight was ‘Lady with Pince-Nez’ an iconic work by Léon Spilliaert. The TEFAF presentation was accompanied by the first catalogue edited by the gallery and written by art historian Xavier Tricot. The publication ‘James Ensor vis-à-vis Léon Spilliaert’ compares the lives of both artists, and the parallel themes they treated.
